![]() I'm here looking for a potential remedy but I'm guessing there isn't one because I can't seem to find anyone with the same issue and I'm thinking its something wrong with the software inside the monitor. The last time it happened it took almost a day to work again. Always after a few hours of idle time and randomly try to switch windows monitor display settings. ![]() Since then it had happened 2 more times and was fixed the same way as the first but never immediately. The only thing to ever change or fix it was after a couple hours of idle time I ended up switching my windows display setting to "Show only 2nd monitor" which ended up causing first monitor to turn back on with the message "no dp signal from your device" then I switch back to extended displays and it works fine again and everything is back to normal. Began Googling issues and proceeded to go through a plethora of troubleshooting attempts such as, power it off and on, change the display port cables, change the power cables, try hdmi, attempt to power cycle by unplugging and holding all the buttons down for 30 seconds, update drivers for the monitor and GPU, safe mode Uninstall GPU drivers and there maybe some others im forgetting.ĭespite all that nothing seemed to change anything with the monitor. This is how I managed to open up the windows display settings, due to everything still opening on the first monitor even if I initiate it on my second one. I am unable to bring up the OSD at all. I could still drag my mouse over between the monitors, I could even guess where my windows were on my first monitor and drag them over to my second monitor. ![]() The black monitor still appears to have the back light on because if you turn it off it will get even darker and when you turn it on it responds with a faint glow/gray. Power was still on, my second monitor was still on and displayed everything as it was before the first monitor went black. About 3 days into me using the PC and in the middle of playing a game, the display went black. Since the first day I was experiencing short black screen flickering lasting 1 to 2 seconds. Just finished testing my theory 3 different DX11 games the stretching texture problem is non existent.ĭid you ever notice this problem before? or is this the first time you're playing this game?, Cause X-fire and some games might have some problems weather its the game and needing a new patch to fix the problem using X-fire OR it could just be a Driver problem with the game in X-fire cause you did say you didn't have the texture problem running you cards singly in game right?Īnd are you using updated drivers from ATI?.if you don't know just open your catalyst control center and looking under the info tab and it will tell you.So roughly 2 weeks ago I purchased and received a brand new pre-built gaming pc and a brand new S2721dgf. I was looking through Google about stretching textures, and came across something called z compression any info on this? ![]() I just tried several combinations of xfire cable plugged in and psu plugged in to both cards results are mixed I'm lost Is my psu bad? i know it has enough power it 1k am i just over looking something? ![]() Just unplugged bottom card power cord and took the xfire cable off. ![]()
