But I hope I cleared some things up for a few people though. Long story short, you probably won't see caster fist anytime soon. And they could only use one because, as of now, dual wielding is deep in the enhancement talent tree and druids just can't dual wield. It would seem pointless, as the only class who would use them is Resto/Elemental Shamans and druids. So, YES fist weapons can be disarmed BUT because your unarmed skill will be high you won't be as bad off as someone untrained in unarmed.ħ.) To date, as far as I know, their are no caster fist weapons. But other than that dual wielding isn’t extremely viable, however the gold tracer and silver tracer paired together get a pretty neat move set. It’s also a better option for poking at the enemy with a little thrust to add pressure in PvP. However, fist weapons also used to be a joke. Rapiers and thrusting swords work ok instead of a parrying dagger but keep in mind they are more heavy. Fist weapons used to be undisarmable (real world?) which made a lot of sense. However, you need to make sure that one of them is a primary weapon and one of them. Yes, you can get disarmed using a fist weapon. Dual wielding in Dark and Darker is as simple as slotting a weapon beside another in one of your loadouts. Try it sometime.Ħ.) Fist weapons use unarmed skill. There is something intense and primal about fighting your opponent with your fist that just makes a kill "feel better". This makes dealing with Archers a little bit less painful if you opt for a dual-wielding setup. An enhance shaman would be unwise to use them, especially when there are better fist sets available.ĥ.) Fist weapons look cool. Deflect and Retaliate - Equipping dual weapons allows you to parry Ranged Attacks and each successful parry resets the cooldown on all your Battlerage attack skills (this effect has a 12-second internal cooldown). See those? See how quick they are? Much faster than their main hand companion. Long story short, using a faster weapon nerfs their damage output. This has to do with Windfury enhancements shamans use. All you need to know is that if the off-hand is a faster weapon (2.4ish and down) then it is meant for rogues/ fury warriors If it is slow (in similar speed to its main hand sister weapon) then it is meant for Enh Shammies. Fist weapons for Rogues/Fury Warriors and fist weapons for Enhancement Shamans. However, like most weapons some are almost certainly meant for certain classes.Ĥ.) There are *generally* two classes of fist weapons. They're an option for hunters however, its generally not the first choice for them (hunters look sexiest with polearms). Because of their nature and there buffs, they are generally meant for 3 of the 4 classes that can dual wield them (War, Rog, Sham). Blizz didn't seriously consider them worthwhile until gamers spoke up. Only about 70 or so weapons at the moment and most of them are lvl 57up. Do a weapons search for fist weapons sometime. This is becuase until Burning Crusade, fist weapons were a joke. These classes can dual wield, and thus, they can dual wield fist weapons.ģ.) Fist weapons tend to be misunderstood. These classes can use fist weapons.Ģ.) Warriors. Dual wielding weapons is a great and exciting alternate way of playing the game since it allows for more robust and complicated moves, as well as awesome weapon skills that utilize both weapons to deadly efficiency. in fact, it makes you a better combatant who's ready for the 'just in case' scenarios.Ĭomment by Thottbot1.) Warriors. carrying and occasionally using a FW doesnt make you daft. just in case i do get hit with a temporary Disarm. I do train my UC along side my main weapon skill. true FW efficiency requires overloading on Str and Agl thus having to let mana/casting stat buffs wain most offhand items dont offer buffs equal to some other class appropriate weapons given the lack of FW with buffs of any sort It's not a suggested main weapon for Druids lol) you might notice, during a combat tick, one number being consecutively higher than the other on damage. (so, yes, we can dual wield our own fists. The confusion may be in the animation for UC. sure, you may be toting an offhand ITEM during UC. orbs, as mentioned above, are offhand ITEMS. NO, we Druids CANNOT use offhand weapons. Since it is a paired weapon, there is a special combo that you can do by using L1 attacks which is very powerful if all the attacks connect.Comment by Thottbotagain. These knights wield a large number of weapons, and one of them uses a pair of giant greatswords that deal massive damage with great scaling and an amazing, fiery weapon Skill that decimates enemies. Some of the coolest enemies are the Ringed Knights introduced in the Ringed City DLC. How to get the Ringed Knight Paired Greatswords
